There are many reasons for adequately insulating agricultural
buldings, also called pole buildings, post frame buildings or pole
barns. Proper insulation is critical for use in buildings that contain
livestock of any kind. Radiation and heat stress is very dangerous to
dairy cows, cattle and poultry. Studies have shown that in
temperatures above 80 degress, there was a noticeable decrease
in production of milk from dairy cows. Extreme heat can have an equally
negative effect on poultry. Turkeys and chickens need to maintain a
constant body temperature because they have trouble cooling off their
body temperature in hot weather. Heat stress in female birds can cause
a decrease in the production of eggs as well as cause smaller egg size.
Radiant heat transfer can account for up to 80% of all heat transfer
through the roof and walls of a building. Reflective Bubble
Insulation creates a barrier that reflects up to 97% of the radiant
heat from the sun's rays.
Our Reflective Bubble Insulation consists of a layer of plastic
bubbles sandwiched in between two layers of high reflective 99% pure
aluminum. Reflective Bubble Insulation works excellent in these types
of applications because it provides protection from radiant heat while
forming a vapor barrier to eliminate condensation. The 97% reflective
surface provides superior protection against radiant heat and gives the
buildings interior a nice clean appearance.
Benefits of using Bubble Foil Insulation in Post Frame Buildings:
Effective in extreme temperatures-both hot and cold
Strong but clean, lightweight and flexible
Easy installation
Safe to handle with no special clothing or breathing equipment
